Mainul Hasan
Senior WordPress and WooCommerce performance engineer. I write WebDevStory, run Nordic Digi Solutions, and publish a weekly briefing on AI, developer tooling, and the tech industry.

Why WebDevStory exists
Digital platforms should do more than exist. They should perform. That’s the belief that drives my client work. It’s also why I write here.
I started WebDevStory to share what I actually learn building software. Not the polished conference-talk version, the version that includes the failed migrations, the caching bugs that took three days, the AI integration that looked easy in the demo and turned into a two-week refactor in production.
Most developer writing falls into two piles. There’s vendor content, which is marketing dressed as documentation. And there’s hobbyist content, which is beginner tutorials rewritten every six months. Neither serves working developers who need to make real decisions about real production systems.
WebDevStory sits between those. Long enough to be useful. Specific enough to be honest. Written by someone who ships code for a living, not someone who writes about it for a living.
What I do
Write WebDevStory
The publication you’re on right now. Weekly briefings on AI and developer tooling. Longer technical pieces on WordPress, WooCommerce, and production infrastructure. No paywall, no sponsored sections, no AI-generated filler.

Results that drive the work
Up to 65% faster page loads
Across WordPress and WooCommerce client sites. Server-level optimization, caching strategy, database tuning, and Core Web Vitals improvements applied to production systems.
120% organic traffic growth
Delivered through technical SEO improvements, crawl and indexation fixes, structured data, and performance-as-a-ranking-factor work. Measurable client outcomes, not vanity metrics.
30-35% conversion rate lifts
E-commerce conversion improvements from checkout optimization, cart-flow debugging, mobile UX fixes, and payment gateway integration work. Modernized legacy platforms have added up to 30% revenue for client businesses.
How I work
Ten years of shipping production code across three continents means I have opinions about what actually works and what doesn’t. Some of those opinions show up in the writing. Most of them show up in the client work.
The stack I default to is WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, and the surrounding ecosystem, because that’s where I’ve done my deepest work. But I’ve worked in JavaScript, Python, React, and multiple PHP frameworks (Laravel, CakePHP, CodeIgniter) long enough to write about them honestly. The AI-tooling coverage in the briefing comes from actually integrating these systems, not just reading press releases.
I’m based in Oslo. I work with clients worldwide, remote-first. I speak English professionally, Bengali natively, Norwegian at a beginner level (working on it), and enough Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu to get by.
Get in touch
For client work, the fastest path is a 15-30 minute call. For anything else, email works.
